About
Curated by Piya started as a pastime that has grown into a passion for hand-woven linen sarees. This passion led me to meander through the by-lanes of colour and design leading me on to the most amazing world of texture and thread count. Each handwoven masterpiece is taken to another dimension by exclusively printing on the fabric.
My hand printed Sarees involve a labor intensive process with a lot of research. Hand-painted designs drawing inspiration from Balinese, Tibetan, Kutch, Madhubani, and Kalamkari art are converted into screens which are then printed on the Saree. It is then put through an intensive process of steaming, to seal the colours; making each saree hand washable with no colour bleeds.
